The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently going to the Fernie two Group Hall in Mpuluzi to render solutions towards the community.
SASSA might be rendering companies for instance new social grant applications, change of payment method, consumer care enquiries, together with the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.
In an announcement, the agency reported it is alarmed regarding the significant range of people depending on social grants for survival.
“The aim with the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to a significant amount of clients/beneficiaries read more to access SASSA services.
“This can be because of the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there is no completely functional office devoted to service the area on a daily basis. The provider issue created for intervention experiences a higher influx of prospective beneficiaries, which makes it hard to the office to attend to all people who check out a service point.
“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise additional means to help the servicing of all customers and improve access to Social Assistance providers,” the agency said.
